Position Summary...What you'll do...Join our Content Relevancy team at Walmart as a Principal Software Engineer where you'll l everage your technological, analytical, and problem-solving skills to make a substantial impact within Walmart and advance your career. You'll also i dentify areas for improvement, design solutions, and contribute to process enhancements within our search products .• Create detailed architecture plans and lead the development of current and new search products using Elastic Search, OpenAI , Java, JavaScript , and related technologies.• Lead and solution for large-scale projects, working with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions.• Help to create technical roadmaps for the team by identifying project timelines, critical system updates, and other technical needs within the team.• Collaborate with and lead a small group of engineers, including offshore associates, on engineering projects. Provide guidance and review solutions.• Analyze business requirements and work in an agile development environment with rapid turnaround times.• Collaborate with various teams to achieve results and promote positive team dynamics.About the Team:Our team is focused on developing an adaptable and robust enterprise search service within Walmart that allows associates and other end-users to quickly and easily find the information they need. We currently support a wide range of searches from the search engine used within the world's largest intranet, to an AI driven conversational search and more.
