Position Summary...What you'll do...The Customer Digital Identity organization is enabling Walmart to better understand who the Walmart customer is. At the same time, we are ensuring streamlined processes, security, scalability, regulatory compliance and best in class customer experience. The customer is at the heart of all we do at Walmart. The Customer Digital Identity team will amplify customer centricity by deepening the company’s understanding of customers and their preferences. When we do that, we can serve them when and how they need.The team collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams, such as eCommerce, Marketing, and multiple teams in Walmart’s revenue organization such as Walmart +, Data Ventures, and Walmart Connect, to create a holistic and consistent digital view of customers’ relationship with Walmart. The team is also responsible for driving the enterprise strategy around customer data and identity capture and developing a unified strategy around customer identity. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Strategy for the Customer Digital Identity team. This role will report directly to the Director, Business Strategy in Value Creation and will be located either in Sunnyvale, CA, Bentonville, AR, or Hoboken, NJ.You’ll sweep us off our feet if…• You are customer-centric in spirit and data driven in execution.• You have deep domain knowledge in customer data & identity and marketing mechanisms in omni-channel retail.• You can influence and build consensus through stakeholder management.• You have a test and learn mentality to iterate and improve your team’s products.• You are an incredible storyteller, communicator, and presenter.• You thrive in complex and matrixed/horizontal organizations.• You are passionate about value add.You’ll make an impact by…Driving business strategy for customer data and identity• Develop and execute comprehensive short-term and long-term business strategies to drive the team's objectives and goals• Identify key strategic initiatives, define clear objectives and set measurable goals• Lead and execute in-depth market and competitor research to understand current market trends, opportunities, and threats• Use insights from market and competitor research to inform strategic planning and decision-making• Develop a keen understanding of market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to drive the strategic direction of the teamAnalyzing and capturing sources of value creation• Deeply understand CDI’s platform capabilities• Document pain points within customer data user teams with the core retail org (marketing, eComm, product, fraud strategy, retail intelligence)• Create understanding how our roadmap and outputs tie back to our internal stakeholders’ needs• Jointly ideate on data value creation use cases including but not limited to personalized nudges, campaign optimization, fraud reduction, store experience improvementManaging customer data related special projects across Walmart• Create success definitions, business strategies and customer experiences for customer data related initiatives• Manage stakeholder alignment cross-functionally from a business strategy perspective• Partner cross-functionally with users of customer data to determine impact and deliver business cases• Establish various workstreams and ensure workstreams move forward• Establish operating rhythms, metrics and communication mechanismsPreparing executive presentations and communication on program updates• Share program update into other existing mechanisms such as monthly strategy meeting, and CDI MBRThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. The full Job Description can be made available as part of the hiring process.Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required/MBA strongly preferred• 5+ years in Business Strategy with a top tier consulting firm, ideally with least 3 years of experience in retail, store, eCommerce or Omni environment.• Business administration/strategy background with Marketing or Data Science major.• Quantitative or technical background is preferred.• Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.• Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.• Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.• Proven experience in developing and executing successful product roadmaps and initiatives.• Strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market trends in the retail space.Benefits & Perks:Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
