Position Summary...

Each incumbent in this position will be accountable for driving a multi-year strategy that will support the success of Walmart U.S. operations for the geographic region assigned. In addition, this position will plan, organize, directs, and controls the activities of the operations function of the Region.

What you'll do...

Key Priorities Strategy and Execution: Develops long term strategies to increase positive business impact within their respective region; oversees their implementation by evaluating competitors internal and external influences, threats and industry trends; collaborating with other Department leadership to establish and validate performance metrics; analyzing opportunities, key performance indicators and trends to arrive at conclusions; developing strategies for operations and gaining buy-in from leadership; ensuring that division strategies are aligned with Walmart's overall strategy; designing and evaluating programs and ensuring programs align with needs and resources; overseeing implementation and determining effectiveness of initiatives for example: training programs, process implementations that support their respective region and tracking performance results and adapting strategy to increase positive impact initiatives.

Replenishment Partners work with Replenishment leadership to ensure inventory goals are aligned with department strategy and sales goals and to review and approve inventory and flow plans. Oversees all replenishment activities associated with their divisional area; identifies improvement opportunities related to replenishment and develops correction plans; monitors replenishment processes to ensure that offerings are available per agreed upon plans.

Supplier Relationships establishes the supplier planning strategy for each portfolio by ensuring supplier relationships are maintained; meeting with suppliers to discuss and negotiate strategic opportunities; aligning suppliers to forecasting needs and using the supplier matrix to optimize the number and mix of suppliers needed for each business.

Financial: oversees the financial and operational performance by forecasting, reviewing and making adjustments to budgets processes and performance metrics; overseeing and managing profit and loss statements; PL tracking and analyzing key financial metrics for example: sales profit gross margin shrink key expense lines, food waste across the regions and incorporating results into financial and initiative plans; evaluating and addressing financial and inventory performance; collaborating with Operations leadership to address underperforming markets and stores and performance accountability; acting as a liaison between Walmart Home Office support and field leadership; developing driving and overseeing implementation of necessary operational changes and communicating financial results to senior leadership team to align on corrective actions taken and root causes resolved with Field and Walmart Home Office Teams.

Partnership develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Talent Development ensures talent is appropriately identified by selecting and maintaining qualified direct reports; providing strong input on associate talent throughout the organization; providing overall human capital direction for the function; understanding the business plan and customer needs and incorporating a human relations talent strategic model that proactively predicts and solves for gaps; upgrades talents and promotes a customer focused environment.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.
