The Operations Crew Member position is responsible for preparing the Forum for all events. The Crew Members’ main tasks include event set-up, tear down, changeovers, and daily operational work related to concerts, sporting, meetings, and other events that take place at the Forum. Crew Members may also assist with assembly of furniture, pickups and deliveries, and movement of various equipment throughout the facility.
Responsible for the physical setup of all areas around the venue including flooring, chairs, tables, walls, staging, furnishings, and equipment.
Actively care for all venue equipment and property by storing equipment properly, cleaning and repairing broken or damaged items, and alerting management of any mistreatment of property.
Install and remove various large heavy components utilized for concerts and other types of events.
Maintain organized storage areas assigned, as well as stock supplies throughout the building.
Respond and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management.
May be required to operate industrial vehicles such as pallet jack, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience and/or training in the public assembly facility management industry is a plus.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires.
Understand verbal and written instructions in English.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Able to work with people effectively as well as understand and execute instructions.
Ability to operate equipment such as carts, forklifts, and pallet jacks is a plus.
Communicate effectively with internal staff and external clients.
Employee will frequently communicate via radio and in-person with others and exchange accurate information.
Compensation
Target salary for this role is $20 per hour
