FLOWERBX is the disruptive online start-up that represents a new way to buy and send flowers. We are a direct to consumer flower delivery service that sources highest quality flowers directly from the growers and delivers them to our customers across 21 countries in Europe, and across the East Coast and West Coast of the US.

FLOWERBX Founder and CEO, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, started the company in 2015 after working for Tom Ford for almost 2 decades. FLOWERBX has since catered to the fashion cognoscenti and tastemakers across all territories, being dubbed recently by the New York Times as "Fashion's Florist."

In 2020 we closed a GBP3 million (USD3.8 m) fundraising round with our focus now on accelerating growth and further US expansion. As well as our unique online offering, we also pride ourselves on our bespoke client services; supplying flowers for international luxury companies such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Vogue and Farfetch (to name a few), with FLOWERBX's signature style at the essence of each creation.

SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL

Sustainability is a core operating principle for FLOWERBX. From our cut-to-order business model, local growers, FSC certified packaging, use of electric vans in dense areas, to offsetting carbon for our workforce. We became carbon neutral in 2021, with goals of becoming a B-Corp in 2022, and offsetting our carbon footprint by 200% in 2023.

Location Information:

This role is a full-time role, based at our London Warehouse (NW10). Proximity and the ability to come into the warehouse to start the shift at 5:00 am daily is required (Tuesday-Saturday). There will be a requirement to work full weekends during busy times around Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day and Christmas.


The Role:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Providing line management to the warehouse team, focusing on individual performance and coordinating their workloads and ensuring targets are met and high quality standards achieved
  • Onboarding and training new personnel
  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, and stepping in to cover, as required
  • Enforcing health standards, safety and security procedures
  • Provide a clean and tidy working environment for the warehouse team
  • Supporting the packing team with order preparation, and the day-to-day coordination of the FLOWERBX operation, to ensure that customer orders are shipped accurately and on time
  • Coordination and management of inbound deliveries
  • Building relationships with a range of logistics partners
  • Working closely with the Customer Service team to resolve consumer issues and complaints
  • Supporting with accurate stock management and purchasing, ensuring correct and detailed documentation
  • Accurate reporting of stock movements and performance
  • Assisting the team with creating, planning and implementing effective processes to ensure efficient production of customer orders on a daily basis, resolving issues as they arise and escalating as appropriate
  • Identifying and suggesting any process and systems improvements and making recommendations for change

The Person:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader with a track record of supervising and motivating strong teams
  • A team player with a strong ability to communicate confidently
  • A professional, proactive and 'can do' attitude with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Customer service aptitude, understanding of customer deliverables
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-pace operational environment, ideally having gained experience in operations within a similar environment
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and take ownership comfortably
  • Leadership with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others
  • Administrative skills, comfortable working with numbers (stock and cost control, productivity targets etc.)
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills
  • Assertive, resilient and open to change
  • Good working knowledge of health, safety and security requirements
  • Magento knowledge is preferred but not necessary
  • Warehousing/supervisory qualification would be advantageous
