Senior Process Automation Engineer

Overview

Our Center for Process Excellence team is on a mission to improve business outcomes and employee experiences by driving step-change improvements in critical enterprise processes, and the technology and analytics supporting these.

 

As a Senior Business Process Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to optimize business processes across the organization. You will work closely with a cross-funcitonal team of engineers and analysts, as well as stakeholders from various departments to understand their needs and create innovative automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and enhance the overall productivity of the organization.

 

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automation tools, programming languages, and a solid understanding of process engineering. This is a hands-on, technical role with a focus on designing scalable automation architectures, integrating systems, and driving continuous improvement.

 

This position will follow a hybrid model work approach( 3 days a week , Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday working from GCC office, RMZ ecoworld, Bellandur, Bangalore)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end automation and orchestration solutions using industry-leading tools (e.g., Celonis) and custom scripts.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop automation strategies to improve operational performance
  • Architect and implement scalable, high-performing automation systems to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and other teams to translate business requirements into automated workflows and solutions
  • Automate data-driven processes and integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, databases, etc.).
  • Continuously monitor, test, and refine automation solutions to ensure optimal performance and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Develop and maintain clear, thorough documentation for automation processes, architecture, and configurations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior automation engineers and provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and solution design
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in process automation, robotic process automation (RPA), and artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Contribute to the creation of an automation strategy, promoting the adoption of automation across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in process automation, software development, or related fields
  • Expertise in RPA platforms (e.g., Celonis, UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python)
  • Experience with AI-powered automation tools, machine learning, or natural language processing
  • Strong understanding of business processes, workflows, and process mapping
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying automation solutions that integrate with enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, SuccessFactors)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based automation tools and infrastructure
  • Solid experience with databases and data integration technologies (SQL, APIs, web services)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline automation
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and drive continuous improvement in automation processes
  • Certification in Orchestration and/or RPA tools (e.g., Celonis, Emporix, UiPath)
