Job Description

As an Engagement Manager in the Marketing & Innovation practice, you will lead and own large-scale client advisory and consulting engagements which may include brand/digital marketing and strategy, new product development/launch, customer marketing, omni-channel marketing, and consumer centered design initiatives. In this leadership role you will utilize your broad and deep business consulting experience to successfully partner with our clients to achieve their vision and goals. 

In this position you will lead engagement projects and direct a team of consultants to meet or exceed performance expectations with respect to quality, delivery, profit, and productivity. Additionally, this role is responsible for implementing client solutions through a deep knowledge of best practices, solution frameworks, methodologies, and industry trends. As an Engagement Manager, you will also develop business at existing/new clients and play a key role in contributing a significant share of revenue for the business consulting vertical. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead and own large-scale client projects in support of Aspirant’s overall P&L and growth potential ensuring quality work, on time, and within budget. Projects may include customer experience, digital marketing, brand marketing/strategy, new product development/launch, consumer centered design, or omni-channel marketing initiatives.
  • Actively guide and participate in client engagement(s) to direct solution development and implementation. 
  • Execute on business development plans including lead qualification, problem/solution exploration, proposal generation and related client meetings. 
  • Contribute to business development goals established by leadership. 
  • Support talent recruitment by acquiring and developing high potential talent. 
  • Lead and motivate direct reports as well as client project team members. Provide regular feedback and development-focused coaching and mentoring. 
  • Facilitate client meetings and conversations that result in clear outcomes and common understanding. 
  • Develop and deliver clear and compelling business presentations/reviews for internal and external audiences. 
  • Direct, implement, and continuously improve practice strategies, goals, core competencies and processes to support overall company objectives. 
  • Continually evaluate and learn new tools, processes, or approaches to further improve existing methodologies. 
  • Actively participate in and represent the company at business marketing events such as speaking engagement, networking events, executive events, and seminars. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a variety of disciplines to include Business, Marketing, Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness/Design.
  • Master’s/MBA preferred. 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • 5 or more years’ relevant experience in business management consulting including people leadership, in marketing, operational improvement, business transformation, product/service development, merger & acquisitions or related experience.
  • Successful track-record of leading marketing and innovation projects in both a consulting and industry environment that includes owning deliverables and implementing creative client solutions. 
  • Well-developed business acumen including policy alignment, concise communication, and technology solutions in support of a client's strategic goals. 
  • Demonstrated success executing business development plans and goals. 
  • A focus on strategic planning including critical thinking, bringing structure to ambiguous situations, and leading toward a future vision.
  • Well-developed communications skills including expertise in delivering compelling presentations to stakeholders. 
  • Effective problem resolution skills including the ability to break a problem down into solvable components. 
  • Demonstrated customer focus that conveys a genuine concern for customer needs and generates customer satisfaction. 
  • People leadership includes experience serving as a coach and mentor in support of individual and team development. 
  • Genuine interpersonal skills to interface with clients/team members and the ability to build trusting client relationships. 
  • Experience as a thought leader, designing business solutions in a variety of industries. 
  • Ability to see the big picture, anticipate risks, and take action to minimize business impact. 
  • Ability to travel based on client requirements. 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE  

  • 8 or more years in business management consulting, including team leadership, with deep experience in marketing driven transformation, brand/digital marketing and strategy, new product launch/development, omni channel marketing, medical marketing, consumer centered design, or market research. 
  • Experience developing a practice or set of service offerings to clients.
  • Flexibility and confidence to contribute to any of Aspirant’s other practice areas including Strategy & Transformation, Organizational Effectiveness, Technology Consulting, Digital Consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Sales. 
  • Prior consulting experience with big four consulting companies 
  • Process improvement/Six Sigma/Lean Sigma experience.
