Chief Technology OfficeThe Chief Technology Office (CTO) supports and delivers enterprise infrastructure and tech for tech services that enable Wells Fargo customers globally. The group is responsible for enterprise-wide services across the global footprint, including networking, production services, developer experience tools, centralized technology governance and controls, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange and Cloud-based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure.CTO is undergoing a major transformation in the way we deliver services, including new cloud modeled data centers, new and modern development tools, adoption of a product operating model based on agile principles, and a customer-center frictionless delivery approach. The transformation effort aligns resources to the standard total business management approach, combined with a simplified, product-oriented re-structuring requiring a shift from command and control to collaborate to automate, placing speedy standardized solutions in the hands of the consumer directly. This move supports the ten-year vision of Wells Fargo Technology to operate fully in the cloud.About this roleWells Fargo is seeking a Communications Senior Manager responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans for Wells Fargo's Chief Technology Office, including executive and internal communications that promote business priorities and support the Company's reputation, and managing the CTO Communications team.In this role, you will• Manage and develop a team of individual contributors (professional communicators) in support of the Chief Technology Office• Support the coaching of other, less experienced communicators• Develop and implement communications strategies and tactics based on business needs and aligned strategies• Own narrative of CTO messaging in relation to strategic priorities and progress towards key results• Identify strategic storytelling opportunities that promote key initiatives• Work with leadership team and key partners to ensure messaging aligns with strategy• Consult with various teams and represent the 'voice of the customer' in deliverable development and partnership with others• Serve as a trusted communications leader and strategic advisor to the Communications team, business partners, peers, and leaders• Partner with team of communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging• Collaborate with Technology Communications partners to execute communications strategies and content• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy• Challenge existing processes where they do not align with the Target Operating model and suggest efficient solutions to the process• Identify and recommend opportunities for branding and communication channel enhancements to meet business needs• Manage communication reviews and approval processes to meet standards, manage reputation, and mitigate risk• Track and measure results to support decisions on communication channels, frequency, and method of communicating to target audiences to ensure communications generate intended outcomes• Assist with CTO-wide communications and content as bandwidth allowsRequired Qualifications• 6+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education• 3+ years of management experience• 5+ years developing and executing strategies aligned with business objectives by influencing and engaging across multiple teams• 3+ years of transformation experience within large matrixed organizations and understanding of different approaches towards communicating with knowledge of how to simplify messaging• 3+ years of experience leveraging subject matter expertise to translate complex technology topics into broadly digestible narrativesDesired Qualifications• Strong time management skills including the ability to handle multiple deliverables concurrently• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels with strong influencing skills, creative, resourceful, self-driven and results oriented• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Ability and willingness to negotiate internally and externally• Must have strong executive presentation and relationship building skills.
