About the Role

As a UI/UX Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the user experience across our platform, with a particular focus on incorporating gamification principles. You’ll work closely with our UX Manager, product manager, AI teams, and engineers to design experiences that are not only visually appealing and easy to use but also drive deep user engagement through meaningful, game-like mechanics.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and optimize GCP-based infrastructure to support AI-driven applications and data pipelines.
  • User Experience Design: Craft user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for key platform features, including job applications, skill development modules, and networking tools.
  • Gamification Mechanics: Integrate game design principles (e.g., Octalysis or other frameworks) into the product to encourage user motivation, progression, and collaboration.
  • Visual Design & Branding: Develop a cohesive aesthetic that aligns with WerQ AI’s brand values, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • User Research & Testing: Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and feedback sessions to validate design assumptions and iterate rapidly.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with product managers, AI architects, and developers to ensure designs align with technical constraints and product goals.
  • Design Documentation & Guidelines: Maintain a centralized library of design assets, style guides, and component libraries for easy reuse and scalability.

What You Can Do (Experience & Expertise):

  • UI/UX Design: Experience designing intuitive digital products, preferably for SaaS or consumer platforms.
  • Gamification Expertise: Proven experience implementing and applying the Octalysis gamification framework.
  • Prototyping & Design Tools: Proficient in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Experience with motion design or interactive prototypes is a plus.
  • User-Centered Research & Testing: Ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize results from user research and usability studies.
  • Responsive & Accessible Design: Familiarity with WCAG standards, mobile-first principles, and adaptive layouts.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to present design concepts and rationale to various stakeholders.
