Job Description

This individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:

As a Pool Operator, you will: 

  • Test water chemistry in pool, using Taylor test kit, adjusting chemicals where necessary, and maintain all chemicals within state guidelines.
  • Clean pool filters according to prescribed procedures.
  • Perform maintenance on all pool bathroom fixtures.
  • Clean pool, pool decks, furniture, pump areas, bathrooms and pool tile.
  • Repair and replaces all pumps, pump motors, chemical feed controls, pool plumbing, decking, ladders/steps, heaters, underwater lighting and main grates.
  • Deep clean pool decks and Vac-Pac areas.
  • Deliver chemicals and other supplies to pools.
  • Leave work area in clean, neat safe condition.

Qualifications

 

  • Certified Pool Operator License (CPO)
  • 1 year preferred related experience with residential or resort pools
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid FL State Driver’s License to drive company vehicle.
  • Westgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace. Except where prohibited by law, applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for positions at Westgate.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
