EHS Manager

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will drive WinTech's safety culture and environmental stewardship by developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard our employees and the environment. This role is instrumental in fostering a safe and sustainable workplace while enhancing operational efficiency.

Environmental Compliance:

·        Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste management, reflecting our values as an employee-owned company.

·        Oversee hazardous material, emissions, and waste disposal programs, ensuring sustainable practices.

·        Lead environmental audits and impact assessments to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

·        Prepare and submit required environmental reports and maintain accurate records.

Health & Safety Programs:

·        Develop and manage health and safety policies aligned with OSHA and other standards to protect our employee-owners.

·        Conduct risk assessments, safety analyses, and ergonomic evaluations to improve workplace conditions.

·        Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe environment.

·        Provide engaging safety training to all employee-owners, reinforcing our shared commitment to safety.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

·        Maintain up-to-date documentation for all EHS compliance requirements, including permits and training records.

·        Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections or audits.

·        Monitor regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

·        Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging employee-owners and driving accountability across all levels.

·        Lead EHS committees to inspire collaboration and innovation in safety practices.

·        Mentor and coach team members to build an empowered and safety-conscious workforce.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

·        Develop and manage WinTech's emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for fire safety, spills, and evacuations.

·        Collaborate with local emergency services and internal teams to coordinate effective response strategies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

·        5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Certifications:

·        Preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.

·        Familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

·        Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant safety and environmental standards.

·        Proven ability to inspire and lead in an employee-owned, team-oriented culture.

·        Strong communication skills for training, coaching, and fostering engagement.

Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying and resolving EHS challenges.

·        Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to loud noises, dust, heat, and heavy equipment.
