Job Title: US Marketing Admin, Warner Classics (Temp)

Warner Classics and its sister imprint, Erato, are home to some of the most celebrated dynamic artists in the world today, including Sir Antonio Pappano, Abel Selaocoe, Joyce DiDonato, Gautier Capuçon, Fatma Said, RIOPY, Alison Balsom and Jakub Jozef Orliński. Our labels have a long and rich history that is distinguished by an array of legendary artists who set new musical standards like Maria Callas, Herbert von Karajan, Yehudi Menuhin, Itzhak Perlman, and Mstislav Rostropovich.
The Global Classics Marketing team is tasked with developing audience reach, brand awareness and commercial success of this high-quality and varied roster of frontline artists and their releases, as well as creating innovative opportunities to expand engagement with and monetization of our vast catalog, one of the largest in the world. Headquartered in Paris with colleagues based around the world, the label comprises teams specialising in A&R, Finance, Operations, Commerce and Legal Affairs, and is supported by shared services teams with remits including Digital, Sync, Licensing, Audience, and Brand Partnerships.
Your role:
This is a fun, fast-paced role based in New York and working as part of a dynamic, global team which oversees Warner Classics’ global and local marketing activities. Your primary responsibilities will be to provide support to marketing colleagues overseeing the label’s activities both locally in the US and internationally, keeping campaigns and the department’s operations humming along smoothly.
You will learn a lot about our amazing artists and releases, both frontline and catalogue, and you will work with an extensive network of contacts within Classics, Warner Music Group and the industry at large. Additionally, you’ll have many opportunities to see our artists performing live at some of the best concert venues in the US.
Here you’ll get to:
Help facilitate the planning and execution of frontline and catalogue marketing campaigns, working across marketing, A&R, creative, and commercial teams in Classics to ensure their success
Familiarize yourself with goings-on in the classical scene by maintaining our local concert and promo calendar and ticket allocations
Interact with artists and their stakeholders, managing guest lists and tickets for concerts and events, and arranging travel and schedules for artist promo
Manage relationships with press partners, fulfilling requests for products, assets and other deliverables
Keep track of record placements on the Billboard charts and respond to requests from the Billboard team
Learn the trade by providing administrative support to the VP, Warner Classics UK & North America and the team more generally
Exercise your social media skills by providing ideas for and supporting in the creation of engaging content for our socials and those of our artists
Improve your financial administration skills through raising and processing purchase orders and preparing expense reports for the VP
Help develop creative briefs to support the commissioning and production of marketing assets, as well as handle requests for assets in a timeline manner
Keep the department organized by maintaining our digital records and ensuring that all assets are saved and accessible, and gain experience with project management and collaboration tools including Notion and Google Workspace
Ensure our physical operations continue to operate smoothly by reviewing orders and fulfillment, and auditing product pages, pricing and availability on e-commerce sites
Keep an ear to the ground and suggest ideas for artist signings and recording opportunities as you come across them
Represent the label at concerts and events
Collaborate with colleagues based primarily in London, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels and New York, building your network within Warner Music and the industry more generally
Strengthen our relationships internally with other WMG departments including Global Marketing, Sync, and Corporate Communications and externally with industry partners
About you:
You are passionate about music, with at least an interest in classical music, and want to work in this industry
You have some experience in marketing or the music industry
You are organized, good at working to tight deadlines and have great attention to detail
You are able to manage your own workload and priorities
You are able to juggle multiple tasks and change direction as and when needed
You keep up with trends on social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok
You are ready and willing to attend artist events outside of regular working hours
You are creative, a team player, have excellent communication skills and enjoy receiving feedback
We’d love it if you also had:
Experience with design and photo/video editing
Familiarity with Google Work Space
Knowledge of classical music artists and repertoire
