We are looking for an Applied AI Research Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll work on mission-critical projects leveraging large-scale computing resources and collaborating closely with product teams to create transformative AI features. This role will requires you to develop and implement cutting-edge generative AI features for integration into our products. You will collaborate with research and product teams to fine-tune models, including creating datasets, performing model training, and conducting evaluations. Build demos and prototype apps to rapidly iterate and explore new user experiences enabled by specific fine-tuned models. Incorporate user feedback into the R&D process to help drive directions for future experimentation.
Programming: Strong generalist Python programming skills with extensive experience using PyTorch.
AI Expertise: Hands-on experience with visual AI models, including diffusion models and transformers. This experience can come from professional work, academic research, or hobby projects with open-source tools like Stable Diffusion or ComfyUI.
Research Implementation: Passion for experimenting with and applying the latest advancements in visual generative AI to real-world applications.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset and ability to design solutions for complex problems in AI systems.
Background in training or fine-tuning visual generative AI models, preferred
Full-stack experience prototyping web apps, a track record of working on shipping products or a portfolio of side projects, preferred
Ability to mock up an MVP to demonstrate and explore the capabilities of an AI model, preferred
Experience developing visual creative tools or experiences, preferred
