ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief seeks a Social Adjustment Services Senior Specialist. This position plays a crucial role within our refugee resettlement agency in helping clients obtain self-sufficiency and social integration through applying for and receiving services for which client is eligible. This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns. This position will provide direct services to clients with a caseload of up to 50% or more.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:- This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Recruit and train Social Adjustment Services Case Specialists.
- Develop partnerships with individuals and organizations that can provide additional support and resources for our clients.
- Ensure program compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
- Conduct regular audits of client files and program processes to ensure quality and compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, service providers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the implementation of changing policies and forms from TXOR as needed.
- Represent World Relief Texas at community meetings, events, and forums.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure program compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and program documentation.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
- Conduct regular audits of client files and program processes to ensure quality and compliance.
Client Support and Coordination:
- Complete intake/enrollment for eligible clients
- Assess client needs upon enrollment and create a plan for the client to reach self-sufficiency and social integration
- Assist clients in developing life skills and navigating American systems
- Enter client and service information in the ClientTrack database weekly
- Prepare and maintain detailed case files
- Maintain detailed and accurate case notes for all client interaction
- Provide transportation to initial doctor appointments, benefit interviews, and trainings for clients as needed
- Assist clients in scheduling transportation benefits as provided by RMA and Medicaid
- Provide interpretation for SAS related services as needed by using the interpreters contracted with World Relief or using the telephonic system as a last resort
- Assist clients with application forms for assistance, such as government housing and Food Stamp/Medicaid
- Follow up with Food Stamp/Medicaid office and SSA regarding client’s application until decision is made
- Equip clients to conduct independent services
- Refer clients to other programs and services as needed
- Evaluate and monitor quality of data entry by other agency staff to ensure data integrity for program requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with clients through client home visits, phone calls and office visits
- Monitor files to ensure all required documents are included and files are in compliance with RSS SAS Program Guidelines

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early mornings and evenings.
- At least one-year experience in an office environment
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record

$24 - $25 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
