The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partners.Job Title: Backend Senior Software EngineerLocation: RemoteDuration: 12 monthsLooking for a Backend Senior Software Engineer that will work with Marketing Technology’s mission is to provide a state of the art platform and measurement capabilities to enable our product and marketing teams to effectively deliver highly personalized and relevant marketing campaigns to the community via landing pages and various communication channels like Email, SMS and Push notifications. The Segmentation Platform team’s mission is to provide state-of-the-art segmentation platforms to enable marketing and product teams to connect with our guest and host community with• Collaborate with the engineering team to migrate SMS and push notification templates from Ruby to Kotlin, ensuring a seamless transition without disrupting notification services.• Work closely with other teams within Airbnb to understand their notification needs and integrate the migrated templates accordingly.• Engage in SCRUM meetings to monitor project progress, addressing any technical challenges that arise.Your Expertise:• Proven experience (3+ years) in software development, with a strong background in Ruby and advanced proficiency in Java/Kotlin.• Demonstrated track record of working with large-scale distributed systems.• Solid experience in migrating systems or platforms, preferably with a focus on internationalization.• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting across different teams.• Strong problem-solving abilities and adept at production debugging.• A passion for improving system efficiency, reliability, and overall quality
