QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in business or supply chain related field
  • A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of supply chain experience, preferably in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Over 3 years of leadership experiencewhich includes management of direct report
  • APICS (Association of Supply Chain Management)-Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution

  • Utilizes knowledge of the organization's business model and operations to drive high impact projects and complex analyses that support the organization's mission
  • Develops advanced or breakthrough insights from the interpretation of data; presents recommendations in a compelling way to support business decisions
  • Mentors others in decision modeling and the process of linking data, knowledge and insights together; considers risks that will impact timing of decisions to ensure the most beneficial decision is made.
  • Coaches others to draw reasonable forecasting conclusions based on past and present data and interpretation of the impact of prevailing trends
  • Establishes a culture that values high quality delivery of information; works to continuously improve the organization's level of operational excellence.
  • Guides the review and interpretation of demand forecasting data to inform plans for production, inventory, distribution, and buying.

  • Standard business hours are generally observed, with work from home schedules and flexibility on start/end times, and there may also be opportunities for periodic domestic/international travel (up to 10%)
  • This role will be expected to work in an open-office environment with desk

Job Summary:

A Manager of Demand Planning leads a team of Demand Planners that are accountable for the successful execution and fulfillment of strategic program objectives. Reporting to a senior leader within Planning, an individual in this role is responsible for driving a world class supply chain by overseeing the results produced by his/her team, mentoring, and providing direction to employees, monitoring work quality and coaching on performance. This individual applies a continuous improvement mindset, makes recommendations on process and/or system enhancements and propagates a continuous improvement culture across the team.
Essential Functions:
  • Mentors, coaches, and contributes to the development of the team on standard policies, procedures and best practices while promoting professional growth
  • Develops and utilizes operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gather insights, track performance, drive accountability and customer delight
  • Owns execution and cross-functional accountability throughout WWT Supply Chain
  • Proposes and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Ensures complex issues are resolved across multiple internal functional areas
  • Acts as a thought leader to challenge cross-functional teams, elevate performance and ensure continuous improvement throughout the WWT Supply Chain
  • Communicates clearly to drive expectations and instill consistency amongst the team
  • Stewards the culture through utilization of the World Wide Technology Integrated Management and Leadership tools and concepts.
  • Takes a self-driven approach to solving problems and improving WWT's demand management processes
  • Deep system and planning knowledge
  • Provides input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies
  • Provides input in long term capacity needs
  • Initiates projects to grow and scale team
  • Measures and provides oversight to team KPI Key Performance Indicators
