We are searching for a proven Engineering leader to join our rapidly expanding Product & Engineering team to help build our next generation architecture, create new tools for developers using our platform, and provide intelligent insights to our 200,000+ customers in 130+ countries. The Day to Day Responsibilities • In this role you will build and lead world-class Infrastructure and Edge engineering teams reporting to Vice President of Engineering • Coach and mentor highly talented and motivated managers, architects and engineers • Build high functioning, highly engaged engineering teams that build great products • Partner with Product to create an investment strategy and roadmap that incrementally delivers Customer Inspired value • Ensure that we are taking a long-term view by building technically sound products that will scale and deliver amazing customer experiences • Help our engineering teams connect their work to the company mission and strategy • Foster cross-departmental collaboration with other departments to deliver revenue impacting products • Connect and collaborate across various business units to deliver amazing business results and customer experiences • Create a culture of continuous improvement Where The Best Get Better • You will help build a data-driven culture by helping establish group wide OKRs and important metrics • Continuously challenge status quo to deliver industry leading high performance and cost-effective platform capabilities Your Expertise and Passion Required Skills • 8-10 years leadership experience in building and delivering high performance cloud platform with Edge engineering experience • Experience with CDN, Networking, Automation, Kubernetes, Docker, micro-service architecture, and CI/CD • Experience in GKS/EKS/AKS, LAMP, Ansible, Chef, Go, Python, GCP/AWS/Azure cloud platforms • Enjoys working in a highly demanding and fast paced environment; ability to operate under constraints, ambiguity and high context switching • Strong leadership experience to collaborate with Senior Leadership team for Strategy Planning and Execution, Operational excellence, Security and Compliance • Strong financial acumen to manage multi-million dollar budget, vendor management and negotiation skills, ability to partner and influence vendors/partners • Passionate about staying up to date on technology trends; be the core driver of innovation and research • Proven track record and strong experience building and running large scale applications in the public cloud environments • Ability to lead strategic, cross-departmental initiatives in highly demanding environment • Ability to communicate and collaborate between Engineering, Products and other business units • Has strong experience in building and running large scale globally distributed cloud platform services delivering four 9’s of availability, high performance and impregnable security • Ability to balance results-driven and relationship-focused management styles through communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence • Proven experience building and managing globally distributed world-class teams • Has great soft-skills and experience needed to handle customer escalations and be able to interact directly with customers, vendors and partners • Driven to deliver innovative products in a competitive market and motivated to win • Experienced with performance and compensation management best practices • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Base Salary Range $192,000.00 - $288,000.00 We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
