Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT
system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Situated in the vibrant Hanover, Maryland, you'll play a crucial role in our award-winning corporate culture that's all about breaking down technological barriers for our federal government customers. As a System Administrator 2, you’ll be the go-to expert for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Your day-to-day will involve managing the IT system infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations across various client/server/storage/network devices, as well as mobile devices. You will provide invaluable support, utilizing your skills for Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. You’ll work hands-on with both UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and configuring software while also optimizing system operations and resource utilization. This role requires a United States Citizenship and the appropriate security clearance (such as an Active TS/SCI security clearance). The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or have extensive experience that can substitute for that degree.
