As part of our growth journey, we're looking for a new colleague to join our Sales Team in London as Sales Development Representative (SDR), who will help us grow our customer base and overall business in the UK market.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers within the UK (mainly within the hospitality & healthcare industry), assessing their relevance to Planday. Your primary objective will be to identify potential customer needs and pass them on to our Account Executive Team, who will take over the sales process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead Generation, identifying potential customers and generating leads through research, networking, and outreach.
- Prospecting, building account lists and being the first point of contact for all of our outbound sales efforts.
- Qualification of new prospects.
- Book meetings with potential new customers and communicate the value of our solution for our Account Executives to continue the sales process and close the business.
- Generate a pipeline of potential opportunities, keep track of all your activity and work with the rest of the Go To Market team to craft messaging that resonates with our audience.
- Create email campaigns, messaging, leverage our marketing and communicate our business value.
- Maintain a positive mindset as an adaptable team player.
- Ensure a proactive approach to learning.
Requirements:
We’re looking for colleagues with strong communication skills and a proactive approach. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will engage with a diverse range of individuals, so strong interpersonal skills are crucial.

- Professional fluency in English.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude and enjoy working with a high level of activity.
- Ability to quickly understand customer needs and provide solutions accordingly
- A passion for sales with experience in a sales related role
- The ability to articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, curious, with evidence of overachievement
- Willingness to learn core technology tools i.e. Salesforce, Lusha, Linkedin Sales Nav etc
- Good time-management and organisational skills
