How you’ll make an impact
As the Senior Strategic Associate, GTM Finance you will help deliver quality and insightful financial information that will drive decision making in Xeroʼs essential Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) market. You will deliver supportive analysis to find levers/weaknesses in our operating model to support Australia and New Zealands’ drive to deliver faster revenue growth, while ensuring the efficient deployment capital. Additionally, you will continue to improve Xeroʼs expense management process by building operational efficiencies to reduce monthly time commitments. You will have a thorough understanding of the Xero business environment, more specifically in the ANZ markets, and be a tier 1 resource in articulating the performance of the region. This includes continuously delivering insights to the ANZ’s Leadership Teams, and the Finance Leadership Team (CFO LT) to support accelerated, multi-year revenue growth.
What you’ll do
- Analyse and report on financial results and key metrics - synthesising key trends and assessing current and future business risk (MRR & S&M efficiency)
- Provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions to drive our Partner channel customer and revenue outcomes, and in turn optimise investments and ROI.
- Provide analytical support for forecasting, budgeting and long range planning with a specific focus on key revenue and growth drivers
- Take initiative, and drive improvements in the current S&M expense forecast/budgeting process to create capacity to devote to revenue generating analysis
- Have a strong understanding of Xeroʼs underlying business drivers and SaaS metrics
- Ad-hoc financial modelling and analytical requests as needed
- Partner with the Accounting team to ensure understanding of financial / performance trends
- Gain an expert level understanding of financial reporting systems (Anaplan, Adaptive, Jedi (internal) and Netsuite), and underlying data sources
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting capabilities. Implement best practices to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency
- Participate in significant corporate or company-wide finance projects and initiatives as directed
- Improve the ‘data-to-insight’ pipeline by understanding and advising on use of various data sources within Sales, Marketing & Finance to support model building, insights and decision making

- Insightful analysis of ANZʼs capital deployment to Revenue output attribution, identifying key drivers, spend ROI, and funnel metric impacts
- Define problems and scope solutions for your work, understanding the business context of the work as well as the broader strategic direction of the product and company
- Deal Modelling: support and continuous refinement of key deal review process
- Develop insightful and professional reporting that support strategic objectives and high-quality decision making
- Providing insightful analysis of transactional data and financial information
- Drive better use and deployment of our data assets and drive efficiencies in our processes
- Demonstrate understanding of the product, how it is sold by us and used by our customers and the business model. Use this knowledge to identify opportunities to drive growth.

- 5+ yearsʼ finance experience in a high growth organisation
- Bachelorʼs degree in Finance and/or Economics required.
- Experience with a top investment bank, consulting, or hyper growth SaaS company is highly desired
- Exposure to, and understanding of, data techniques (SQL, Python) is desirable
- History of process improvement
- FP&A Systems Experience (Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.), highly preferred
