What The Role Is 💼

We’re looking for a Compliance Associate with a few years under their belt to come and join our growing team. You’ll get to work cross-functionally in a scaling business, we move quickly at Zinc and it will be your job to make sure we’re doing so safely. 

Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, you’ll join an established team which still offers huge potential for growth and autonomy from day one.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Be the internal champion for Compliance at Zinc, engendering support and buy-in from stakeholders across the business.
  • Own our internal certification processes, really making these your own to ensure that our already strong reputation as a secure data processor continues to grow.
  • Be a nexus between our customers and compliance at Zinc, working closely with our Head of Legal & Compliance and VP Customer to drive a delightful experience for Zinc’s user base.
  • Keep our internal compliance documents up to date and easy to use. Deliver internal compliance and security training to our employees.

📍Hybrid, Old Street, LDN

We appreciate the value of in person connection with colleagues and flexible working for our employees. We operate a hybrid model with 2 days a week in office, Mondays and Thursdays.


You Have 🛠️

  • Stakeholder Management: You have extensive experience engaging with senior stakeholders across the business, driving alignment, and fostering collaboration to ensure successful outcomes. 🤝
  • Regulatory Knowledge: You’ve worked with GDPR (our gold standard!) or you might have worked with the regulatory frameworks many of our customers operate in such as FCA, CQC, or Ofsted. You like getting into the detail of these frameworks and understanding how they impact our customers. 📜
  • Audit Expertise: You have hands-on experience conducting or supporting internal or external audits, especially in the context of achieving formal certifications or compliance goals. 📋
  • Policy Creation & Maintenance: You’ve designed, edited or maintained policies, ensuring they are effective and well-understood across the organisation. You have a thorough grasp of compliance-related documentation. 🖊️
  • Legal Knowledge (Bonus): You might have a legal background and have applied it in a compliance role. While not essential, this adds extra value given the nature of Zinc's product. ⚖️
  • Corporate Governance (Desirable): You’re familiar with internal governance structures and may have been an observer or even Recorder in your previous company. 🏛️

2. Phone call with Sam, Chief of Staff (5-10 minutes)

3. Interview with Hamraj & Emma, Legal and Compliance Executive (30mins)
