Position Overview:
As an Events Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact events that align with our brand and business goals. Your role will be pivotal in creating immersive and engaging experiences for our clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver events that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Event Marketing Strategy Development: Create comprehensive event marketing strategies that align with overall brand positioning and business objectives to drive growth and engagement.
- End-to-End Event Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of a wide range of corporate events, including conferences, seminars, trade shows, incentive trips, and employee trainings, ensuring quality, brand consistency, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including sales, field marketing, and operations, to manage major corporate events such as Zones Customer Connects, regional customer trade shows, and the annual Zones Partner & Sales Summit.
- Incentive Trip Management: Work with internal stakeholders to plan and manage sales and partner incentive trips, focusing on enhancing participant experiences and maximizing business value.
- Project Management & Collaboration Tools: Utilize Wrike (or similar project management tools) to coordinate logistics, design, content creation, and promotional efforts for each event, ensuring smooth execution and clear communication across all teams.
- Budget & Timeline Management: Develop and maintain event timelines and budgets, ensuring that all events are executed on time, within scope, and under budget, while delivering a high-quality experience.
- Target Audience Engagement: Collaborate with field marketing teams to identify event opportunities, understand target audiences, and tailor marketing efforts to maximize event attendance and engagement.
- Innovative Promotion Strategies: Design and implement creative pre-, during, and post-event promotional campaigns, leveraging digital marketing, social media, and other channels to boost audience engagement and event visibility.
- Event Success & ROI Analysis: Measure event performance using key metrics and analytics, and report on ROI, customer satisfaction, and overall success to drive continuous improvements in future events.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Negotiate with vendors, venues, and sponsors to secure the best possible terms and build long-term partnerships that enhance event outcomes.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all events comply with relevant health, safety, and legal regulations, proactively mitigating potential risks during planning and execution phases.
- Industry Trends & Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative practices to continuously improve event marketing strategies and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate event planning with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage complex events from concept to execution.
- Proficiency in Wrike or other project management tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing vendor contracts, partnerships, and stakeholder relations.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Experience managing event budgets and controlling costs to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in event promotion, including leveraging social media and digital marketing tools to enhance audience engagement and event visibility.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to report on event ROI and success metrics.
