Zoomo vehicles are used by major B2B and B2C players in the food, grocery and parcel delivery segments with partners including UberEats, Doordash, JustEat Takeaway, Deliveroo, Amazon, Ocado and many more.

The Role

As part of a leadership transition, we’re looking for a NYC-based General Manager for our North American business for an immediate start. Our business in North America currently comprises operations and teams in both NYC and Toronto with total team size of around 20. The role has full P&L ownership for the North American business and reports to the global COO.

NYC/Toronto and the North America market represent huge opportunities for Zoomo to have impact as the transition to sustainable urban delivery gathers pace in the continent’s biggest urban centers. We’re looking for an ambitious and high-energy General Manager to help us capture that opportunity and drive profitable growth for Zoomo in North America. 

This role requires a curious, hungry, versatile, and high-EQ leader. The ideal candidate is comfortable at all altitudes from developing and executing strategy with our global C-Suite, to being an exceptional people manager who loves the responsibility of leading and developing a team, to rolling up sleeves to help frontline teams optimize day-to-day operations.

In this role, you can expect to -

Own business performance for North America

  • Own the overall P&L for North America.
  • Drive growth in ridership, retention, and EBIT.
  • Build operational and cost efficiencies through a comprehensive improvement approach.

Set business strategy and deliver growth and improvement opportunities for North America

  • Own strategy development for North America.
  • Develop and pursue new growth opportunities and partnerships.
  • Develop and manage strategic improvement and planning initiatives. 

Build and Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Lead an org consisting of regional strategy & planning and growth as well as city ops  managers and robust frontline operations.
  • Own the hiring, performance management, and development of your team.
  • Set expectations, provide constructive feedback, and ensure team accountability.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in operations/biz ops, strategy or consulting including 4+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Startup/scale-up and micromobility experience is a plus.
  • Consumer or delivery/logistics business experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Team management and development.
  • Skilled operator with a strong on-floor presence who gets things done.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker (Gsheets / Excel proficiency; SQL is a plus).
