About the role [1] Managed entire English curriculum by creating & implementing all unit & lesson plans for two distinct classes in English/Writing with specific, targeted end-goals for each lesson & unit [2] Built cross-curricular collaborations with English teachers & social studies teachers in the department to design end-of-unit goals for integrated subject classes (English & History) [3] Achieved vast student growth (85% pass rate for previously failing students) for a summer school classroom of 35 students by utilizing assessment data on reading comprehension, grammar, and literary analysis in order to adapt curriculum as needed [4] Maintained inclusivity, safety, & equity in the classroom by using classroom management techniques to prevent abuse and to foster a healthy learning environment
