some jobs I applied for was based on sexual preference very prejudice
No. Over the course of my career I have been fortunate that I have not ecountered any nepotism or favoritism.
Yes, recently. I interviewed for a roll. I have a strong background in sales. Fiber sales. The company was looking for experience.
i did not get the job.
Where I'm from this is rather normal. Landing a jon without any connection inside the organization is near to finding treasure without a map.
Yes, I have. When I was hired in 1992, I was asked, "How did you get a job there? Are you related to someone there?". I wasn't but I taught a "critical need" subject, Science.
I have encountered a lot of favoritism and nepotism. The nepotism those people can't even do the job. Let's say I know a security company where the CEO has his son in a position he does not know what to do and doesn't do anything and gets a big check.
Not while being hired but shortly after being hired
I feel like favoritism is in every job when trying to be hired. I feel like itβs mainly in jobs like fedex and adidas.
This is, unfortunately, a common occurrence in business. There is truth to the saying, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Jobs tend to go to those who have connections to or within a company.
I personally have never seen nor experienced it within the hiring process. However, it does become more apparent after one is hired and is immediately taken under the wing of management.
Yes. In past jobs Iβve known a supervisor who hired people who shared similar hobbies & lack of morals.
