Yes. In past jobs I’ve known a supervisor who hired people who shared similar hobbies & lack of morals.

Yes, I have. When I was hired in 1992, I was asked, "How did you get a job there? Are you related to someone there?". I wasn't but I taught a "critical need" subject, Science.

I have encountered a lot of favoritism and nepotism. The nepotism those people can't even do the job. Let's say I know a security company where the CEO has his son in a position he does not know what to do and doesn't do anything and gets a big check.

This is, unfortunately, a common occurrence in business. There is truth to the saying, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Jobs tend to go to those who have connections to or within a company.

I personally have never seen nor experienced it within the hiring process. However, it does become more apparent after one is hired and is immediately taken under the wing of management.
