Job Description

As a Commercial Buyer, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the procurement of direct materials and components within the assigned commodity category.
  • Support all aspects of the Bosch-Supplier relationship including commercial, risk management, legal, quality, and delivery topics. 
  • Lead negotiations with assigned suppliers and internal parties to achieve annual price reduction targets and other business objectives.
  • Responsible for sourcing new components through RFQ  preparation, tracking the status of offers, analyzing quotations, negotiating terms, and making supplier sourcing proposals aligned with FHP’s category strategy.
  • Stay apprised of national and international economic, legal, or business situations as they affect purchasing and supply chain decisions for the assigned suppliers. Implement measures that address any situations resulting from negative or positive market news. 
  • Administer all contractual requirements with the assigned suppliers (purchase orders, pricing contracts, other commercial agreements).
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other departments.
  • Actively supports CIP efforts and supports achieving the departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintain all necessary items in ERP system and archive important purchasing documents. 
  • Perform additional assignments as necessary.
  • Up to 5-10% travel, to include both domestic and international

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related area
  • 3+ years’ experience in supply chain management or purchasing within manufacturing
  • Experience in contract strategy, negotiations, and supplier performance assessments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced environment.
