Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab,Out Patient Cardiology and IR ensuring smooth workflows and patient safety
  • Support and manage a team of RNs, Radiologic Technologists, and CV Techs
  • Coordinate with Cardiology, Emergency, and Surgical teams for efficient patient care
  • Assist with Cath Lab procedures, including angiography, pacemaker insertions, cardiac catheterizations, and vascular interventions
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and CMS regulations
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance development
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, teamwork, and patient care outcomes

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Five (5) years of Coronary Care Nursing and/or the Cardiovascular Lab experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
  • Operates Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment; pressure injectors, hemodynamic monitor, cardiac output computer, etc.

    Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $88,483.20 to $119,100.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
