Overview

The Part Time Gift Shop Associate assists with the operations of the hospital Gift Shop including sales, ticketing inventory, restocking & merchandising, opening & closing registers, general housekeeping and support of volunteer functions. This position has significant impact in the areas of customer service and sales.

 

Computer/Database experience Highly Preferred.

 

This is a part time role, working varied hours, including weekends.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service and computer database experience.
  • Assist with RedCap online database/ordering function.
  • Assisting with the operations of the Gift Shop which include opening closing, restocking merchandising inventory, ensuring merchandise is ticketed correctly, general housekeeping and assisting with miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Assisting in training of volunteer staff and providing daily direction and assistance as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 1-2 years' experience.
  • Retail setting or customer service industry.
  • Computer/Database Highly Preferred.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.00/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
