About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Monitoring Engineer (MEM Tower)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and reliability of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement and maintain monitoring solutions using tools such as SolarWinds, Open Text, Ansible, SCOM.
  • Analyze system performance data and generate reports to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Respond to alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for monitoring processes, configurations, and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems monitoring, network administration, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Solarwinds, Open Text, Ansible, SCOM or similar.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, system architecture, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, Azure/AWS Cloud certification, etc
