Technical Sales Intern

**This position is a temporary 3-month summer intern assignment. Only students currently attending college or university will be considered.**

Want to work with the best and brightest in a company that tackles challenges that have never been done before? Emerson's Global Sales business unit is currently seeking a passionate and action-oriented individual to join us as a Technical Sales Intern (Summer 2025). This position will be located in either our Oklahoma City, OK or Dallas, TX office.

A formal Internship program focused on providing training and learning opportunities to college students in a professional working environment that encourages and brings them organizational knowledge and diversity, teamwork, leadership, and development of professional competencies for technical sales careers. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Be assigned a project to complete by your manager during your summer term.
  • Introduced to Emerson and the Instrument product portfolio by attending product training with local sales team.
  • Support the growth of Emerson Measurement Solutions sales in the served industries of Energy, Chemical, Refining, OEMs, and Skid Builders.
  • Shadow Field Sales on customer calls and interaction with Inside Sales. 
  • Conduct Territory Analysis and assist in Account Research
  • Assist in CRM cleanup and identify duplicate and inactive accounts. 5-year territory analysis across all business units among many other data-gathering projects
  • Analyze various market trends in the regional market working alongside Emerson’s Commercial Excellence group.
  • Participates in weekly regional calls and other team events.
  • Work with sales to develop customer value propositions for new and ongoing opportunities.
  • Do market research on competition and document opportunities and challenges.
  • Will get an opportunity to interact with the Sustainability team and get exposure with activities around it.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sales, or related field to our industry.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hour/week) during the summer term.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
