Job Title:               Cardiac Device Clinic Supervisor

Position Summary

Supervises the Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologists, RNs, EKG Technicians, Clinical Techs and Scheduling Coordinators in the Noninvasive Cardiology Department to include all daily operations, staffing, performance management, and operational functions.

** This position will cover all of FMCOH Cardiology offices working with coordinating schedules, managing payroll for team members.**

**Requires ability to travel to multiple locations.**

Essential Functions

  • Participates in hiring and training of new staff.
  • Responsible for the scheduling of all staff.
  • Ensures completion of all rotational tasks.
  • Leads the process in daily operational problem resolution.
  • Jointly participates with the Director of Cardiac Diagnostic and interventional Services on the staff coaching plans.
  • Assumes the role of the Director of Cardiac Diagnostic and interventional Services when that person is absent.
  • Participates with the Director in coordination of departmental activities.
  • Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Business Systems, Manager of Ancillary System Support, Ancillary Services, CVOR and all other Cardiology units.
  • Communicates with the Medical Director and the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology to maintain and improve patient procedural operations and development.
  • Participates with the Director in the Promotional, Marketing, and Managed Care activities of the department
  • Facilitates budget improvement activities.
  • Oversee all departmental work group functions.
  • Ensures that all quality control and state and federal regulations are met.
  • Responsible for the departmental participation in Process Improvement teams inter-departmentally.
  • Maintain records of Process Improvement for the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department for The Joint Commission.
  • Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

  • Maintains a cooperative working environment in the department and corrects personnel inadequacies of skill, knowledge or CTE behaviors.
  • Ensures that all standards of the State of Florida Federal Agencies, Orlando Health Administration or any other regulatory agency are met or exceeded.
  • Demonstrates competency in contrast medication administration.

Education/Training

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse and/or Allied Health Professional Program or Bachelor's degree.

Licensure/Certification

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS} renewed yearly; and/or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI} renewed every three years; or
  • Maintains current Florida Registered Nurse License or
  • PrepMD or Arrhythmia Technologies Institute Diploma for Cardiac Rhythm Management or
  • Paramedic certification and
  • Maintains current BLS/HealthCare provider certification.

Experience

  • There (3) years of clinical experience.
