Responsibilities: The Sales Engineer will showcase Grammarly's products, run proofs of concept, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to drive deal success and improve sales processes.
Skills: Candidates should have 2+ years of SaaS Sales Engineering experience, strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication capabilities.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing corporate role, with a proven track record of closing deals and building relationships, is preferred.
Location: This is a hybrid position based in the United States or Canada, with flexible remote work opportunities.
Compensation: $164000 - $205000 / Annually
Grammarly offers a dynamic hybrid model, and candidates in this role can be based remotely. You may be expected to travel to meet in person during your team’s scheduled collaboration weeks. Managers will determine in-person time according to business needs.

As a Sales Engineer, you will ensure successful deals by showcasing our product, running successful proofs of concept (POCs), overcoming objections, and working closely with our Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams. You will also help build the necessary tools and processes to accelerate deals and make the team more effective and efficient.
As a member of the Grammarly Business Sales Engineering team, you will also collaborate with your peers to build out this function. You will work on improving our Sales Engineering processes, including value realization, security posture, and demonstration materials. Additionally, you will serve as both a mentor and a mentee within the Sales Engineering team by providing your unique perspectives as you gain more experience with Grammarly prospects and customers.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.
Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. The expected “On Target Earnings” (OTE) for this role are outlined below and may be modified in the future.
United States:
Zone 1: $164,000 – $205,000 OTE/year (USD)
Zone 2: $148,000 – $185,000 OTE/year (USD)
Canada:
Zone 1: $172,000 – $215,000 OTE/year (CAD)
The commission portion for this role will be 30% of the On-Target Earnings (OTE). The market-based compensation differentials will be applied only to base pay for commission-eligible team members.
