Job Description

Joining Olsson as a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in our Utility Transmission and Distribution team. This position requires a deeper understanding of electrical engineering, particularly in power delivery systems. You will lead specific components of projects, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to timelines and budgets. Your role involves more direct client interaction and collaboration with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of power delivery projects, primarily in overhead distribution lines and systems.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to manage project deliverables.
  • Oversee junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Advise on constructability of designed projects.
  • Attend site and pre-construction meetings.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of any Olsson office or remote.

  • Must be a registered professional engineer.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in power delivery engineering, or related.
  • Proficient in PLS – CADD and/or O-Calc preferred.
  • Experience in overhead line construction observation.

Typical range for this position is $106,000 to $139,000+ and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
