Job Description 

 

At Piedmont Airlines, our strength is the way we deliver industry leading service to our customers and airline partners. To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable student to join our team as a Travel Intern. This internship supports the Benefits team and the Leave of Absence team. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, remain organized, and have experience in a fast-paced work environment. The position reports to the Time and Leave Manager. 

 

Essential Duties: 

  • Assist team members with travel related questions 

  • Upload and review dependent documentation 

  • Assist with travel bookings and confirming availability 

  • Update travel webpage as needed 

Job Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program 

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word 

  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week 

  • Ability to commute to Middletown, PA 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior work experience in an office environment 

  • Prior experience with travel reservation systems 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Work Environment: 

  • Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, if needed 

  • Non-exempt 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Occasional lifting up to 25lbs

Employment is contingent upon a clear Driving Record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and Drug Screen as required. We also require proof of High School or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Interns receive travel privileges on the American Airlines network.
