Job Title: Senior Sales Compensation Analyst

Location: Remote - US

At Salesloft, our Senior Sales Compensation Analyst is pivotal to our company’s success.  You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Revenue team and will be our boots-on-the-ground solution to building and administering best in class sales compensation packages and plans.  

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for ensuring commissions are calculated & paid correctly, researching & resolving commission issues and answering questions about comp plans.  Specifically, you will:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Xactly Incent and source data (Salesforce)
  • Ensure complete and accurate employee data and compensation plan detail
  • Serve as the first point of contact to the revenue team: research and resolve commission-related inquiries from the revenue teams (e.g. system access issues, credits and commision calculations etc.)
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of sales compensation documents 
  • Set up and maintain all users, including new hires, terminations, and in-year or year-over-year changes
  • Accurately calculate commissions and ensure timely payment
  • Communicate directly with the revenue organization as well as Senior Leadership to manage expectations and resolve issues regarding compensation.
  • Make necessary operational adjustments within the Xactly Compensation system including SPIFFs, bonuses, ramp payments and clawbacks.
  • Prepare reports showing commissions earned and/or paid based on various criteria
  • Provide analytical insights into the good and bad of the compensation plans and system. 
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and developments as it pertains to sales compensation.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

THE TEAM:

Our Salesloft’s Sales Operations Team is comprised of seasoned Operations professionals who are all aligned on one vision and mission:

The Sales Operations team consists of smart, motivated professionals who are dedicated to improving processes designed around supporting and enabling frontline sales teams to sell more efficiently and effectively.

THE SKILL SET:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Sales Compensation/Commissions experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Xactly Incent Development and Administration
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookup functions)
  • Ability to analyze data and see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues and ideas
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy
  • Experience using Salesforce highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
  • Understanding of the SaaS business model and culture is a plus

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Executives etc. - the relationships will be critical to your day-to-day tasks.
  • Get familiar with Xactly Incent settings and commission payment cycles

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be an expert and feel comfortable using Xactly Incent, day to day administration of the system, ad hoc requests and system changes as needed.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of Xactly Incent existing processes
  • Continue to focus on OKRs
  • Consistently achieve your activity goals 

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be the point of contact and the expert on all Commission related issues
  • Take ownership of Xactly Incent administration and configuration, own the preparation for new FY, Plan Documents and Analytics.
  • Continue to focus on your OKRs

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be the go-to resource for all commission related questions and tasks
  • Be a consistent key performer and demonstrate ability to make those around you better and more productive at their job
  • Develop processes, taking actions on necessary enhancements around compensation structure and payment cycles.
