Here's what you'll do:

  • Oversee R&D projects and subprojects from concept to completion, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Lead, design and develop mechanical components using CAD software, ensuring feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards
  • Create and maintain technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation, supporting the development of new products and innovations
  • Development of new products from the initial idea to the 0-series and to serial production
  • Scheduling and cost planning of development projects
  • Search and assessment of and negotiations with external partners and suppliers
  • Tight control and management of suppliers and their respective deadlines
  • Planning and calculation of products by means of manual pre-calculations
  • Prototype construction in SkyCell workshop
  • Plan, perform and document test series
  • Planning and training of assembly processes (SOPs)
  • Support in the preparation of necessary documentation for assembly processes and serial production
  • Develop and document the Handling- and Service-Center processes of developed products
  • Assure the technical knowledge transfer within SkyCell
  • Continuous improvement of underlying processes
  • Control and approval of incoming invoices
  • Support production department

This is what you'll need:

  • University degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering, civil engineering or similar
  • Technicians HF 
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) with a solid understanding of mechanical design principles
  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into precise and clear CAD drawings and documentation
  • Experience in workflow management, process optimisation and/or Lean Management
  • Knowledge in robotics and automation
  • Profound knowledge of thermodynamic processes, vibration absorption as well as static and dynamic calculations 
  • Experience in technical project management
  • Experience in development of new products production is an advantage
  • Manual skills
  • Languages: DE, EN
