Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the South Fulton VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA.  

 

Position Details:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries
  • Inpatient and Outpatient setting 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.

  • Outpatient and Inpatient setting

  • 6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day

  • Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics.
  • Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
  • The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required.

  • Valid medical license in any U.S. state.

  • Current and unrestricted DEA license.

  • BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
