Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Care Coordinator Registered Nurse supporting The Veterans Administration Office of Community Care in Glendale, CO!

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSN from an accredited college/university or NLN-accredited nursing school.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in the last 3 years.
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
  • Skills: Proficient in English communication and basic computer operations (word processing, data entry, electronic records).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple specialties, including medical, surgical, OB/GYN, and psychiatry.
  • Assess and triage patients, determining urgency and directing them to appropriate care.
  • Offer telephonic nursing advice and facilitate communication between providers and patients.
  • Assist with clinic procedures, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with healthcare teams for holistic care.
  • Act as a resource for patients, ensuring continuity of care and connecting them with community resources.
  • Perform initial patient assessments, including vitals, screenings, and partial physical exams.
  • Assist providers during examinations and monitor patient physical and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct basic procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, wound care, and IV administration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment, ensuring proper sterilization, supply replenishment, and compliance with clinical standards.
