About The Role: 

The Family Resource Network is searching for a Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter to support the company’s HR department on a full-time basis. This position will report directly to the Director, HR and will work out of East Windsor, NJ on a hybrid basis (two days a week in the office, one-two days at career fairs or interacting with the community, one-two days working from home).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with the Director, HR and Hiring Managers, develop a robust recruiting strategy that quickly fills positions with qualified candidates in the most cost effective and time efficiency manner possible
  • Partner with hiring managers to evaluate open positions and determine the best course of action to fill said positions quickly and efficiently
  • Proactively source for potential applicants through a diversified web of resources and tools, including databases, online job boards, associated educational and trade organizations, and in-person relationships
  • Identify, assess and communicate with qualified, potential applicants
  • Effectively communicate with hiring managers to showcase qualified applicants and set up interviews with feedback in a timely manner
  • Apply principles of behavioral interviewing to access the qualifications of candidates
  • Investigate referrals, references, and social media sources to formulate a well-rounded view of applicants
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges, trade associations, and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events on a weekly basis or as scheduled
  • Prepare and deliver convincing employment offer packages to selected applicants
  • Oversee and manage orientation and on-boarding process for new employees, including completion of all new hire paperwork and collection of certification information.
  • Complete other functions as assigned by HR Manager and other leaders

 

  • As this is a hybrid position, it is expected that the successful candidate will work at the East Windsor office 1-2 days a week, and out in the community via job fairs, general recruiting or establishing relationships at least 1-2 days a week.  The remaining workdays will be completed from the employee’s home office.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field strongly preferred but not required

 

  • Experience:
    •  Experience successfully recruiting full-time and part-time employees, especially for positions that are difficult to fill and require a multi-tool recruiting approach
    • Experience building and executing an effective recruiting strategy
    •  Experience successfully on-boarding employees and assisting in transition to their new positions
    • Experience in the non-profit sector a plus

 

  • Skills
    • Serve as a great company ambassador to potential candidates and to the recruiting community
      • A professional, courteous demeanor on the phone and in-person
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with hiring managers and potential candidates
      • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
      • Great follow-up skills with candidates, partner organizations and hiring managers
    • Willingness to try new processes and tools to recruit/research potential applicants
    •  A sense of urgency to meet and exceed expectations
    •  Work independently with little supervision
    •  Ability to travel within the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania to attend job fairs and networking events
    • Can work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media applications, preferably Paycom, Facebook, and LinkedIn
