Senior Accountant - Audit & Tax

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible to perform a broad scope of duties such as payroll, general ledger or journal entries, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts and supporting the accounting department in a variety of roles and tasks as needed.  

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting 

  • 3+ years of experience cumulative accounting experience 

  • Public accounting or publicly traded company experience 

  • Displays solid GAAP accounting foundation 

  • Experience with QuickBooks enterprise  

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, macros, and conditional formulas 

  • Intermediate understanding of database function 

Ability to complete complex bank reconciliations 

  • Experience in recording journal entries, accruals, and intercompany activity

 

Preferred 

  • Experience in manual accounting processes is a plus 

  • Experience in the service industry is a plus 

  • CPA or CPA candidate
