About the Role

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Client Project Management, the  Client Project Manager will: 

  • Lead and manage all phases of client projects for Technical Services across the TR product suite
  • Manage technical projects including, but not limited to, Single Sign-On (SSO), document migrations, implementations, and other customized client needs.
  • Bring appropriate internal individuals together to accurately scope the feasibility of projects and provide alternative solutions when projects are deemed to be not feasible.
  • Set and manage expectations (timeframes, process, communications, etc.) with clients at the onset of projects, as well as throughout. 
  • Lead projects through an Agile approach, including advocating for stakeholders and conducting project meetings (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) with internal and external contacts. 
  • Serve as the primary point of (phone and/or email) contact for clients during projects and coordinating internally on behalf of firms. 
  • Collaborate with and hold internal teams (consultants, engineers, other project managers, etc.) accountable for ensuring deadlines are met and that concerns are addressed in a prompt and appropriate manner. 
  • Attain the product/process knowledge needed to step in to perform hands-on project work when delegating is not an option, as well to discuss product specifics with clients when necessary. 
  • Contribute to the goals and tasks of the Professional Services, including assisting in the development of new offerings and processes and providing internal project management when needed

About You

You are a fit for the role of Client Project Manager if you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (project management certification(s) preferred). 
  • 5 years of direct project management experience preferred
  • Experience operating within a high performing Agile team (in a product owner role preferred), and familiarity with project management tools and best practices
  • 2 years of experience working with or in the accounting industry, including practical and applied knowledge of accounting firms’ needs from a process and software perspective 
  • Superior interpersonal and written communications skills.  This includes the ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with various roles within an end user firm (IT, staff, managing partners, etc.), as well as with various internal departments outside of Professional Services (Sales, Development, Operations, Support, etc.)
  • Experience with GoFileRoom, GoSystem, UltraTax, Checkpoint, or other accounting firm products preferred
  • Experience with TR’s ONESOURCE product suite preferred
  • Experience with document management systems preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Certinia (FinancialForce) or other PSA and project management tracking software and tools
  • Proven flexibility and ability to solve problems creatively. 
  • Successful track record of seeing projects through the full life cycle that are completed according to outlined scope and timeline
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, SLAs, and operational targets and revenue goals

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.

This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
