Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery a level II neonatal intensive care unit a nationally accredited cancer center comprehensive neurosurgery advanced orthopedic program and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. Responsibilities

**Sign-on Bonus Eligible**

 

 

 

1. Responsible for cleaning, inspecting, processing, assembling, and sterilization of all instruments and equipment following Policy/Procedure, Industry Standards, and manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFU). 2. Practices Universal Precautions and follows OSHA requirements at all time. 3. Assists with daily/weekly testing and logging of all mechanical equipment, including but not limited to Mechanical Washers, Sonic, all Sterilizers.4. Maintains accurate and legible documentation.5. Assists with the routine maintenance of instrumentation by identification of items needing repair.6. Follows procedure for set assembly utilizing Instrument Checklists and/or Instrument Tracking where available.7. Where applicable:Completes case cart assembly by adding needed instrumentation to the case cart.Assist with OR Room TurnoverCleaning and HLD of GI Scopes, Bronchoscopes, TEE Probes8. Uses supplies (wrap, containers, chemicals, etc.) efficiently, correctly, and according to IFU.9. Participates in Department activities including, but not limited to, Orientation, System Education, Quality, Daily Briefing & Supply needs.

 

Qualifications

Preferred:

High School diploma or GED.1-2 years’ experience in field and Certification by CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
