Job Description

The Email Marketing Specialist will support the company-wide database marketing efforts, both in strategy and execution. S/he will manage the day-to-day operations of a variety of email campaigns, e-newsletters, opt-in strategy, and other areas of our expanding email marketing plans. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and/or consolidate requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute email marketing best practices
  • Build, edit, and update email templates within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
  • Create the strategic vision of journeys or ad hoc campaigns, including lead generation, revenue campaigns, informational sends, etc.
  • QA (review) and deploy email campaigns or journeys using SFMC
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, designers, copywriters, and project managers to see the project through the process, deployment, and analysis
  • Provide reporting on email campaigns
  • Continuously build upon previous success to learn and drive additional revenue (including A/B testing, personalization, etc.)
  • Maintain the email send calendar and meet deadlines for target launch dates     
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred with a minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in email marketing or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and GDPR email regulations
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred
  • Experience with SQL
  • Familiarity with HTML and AMPscript
  • Experience in the Hospitality/Tourism industry is preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to problem solve and pay meticulous attention to detail
  • Adept at multi-tasking
  • Ability to work in-office in a Monday through Friday schedule
