Pros

Culture. Brandt has done a great job of being selective when hiring personnel that is a fit for the core values. Technology. Brandt is a leader in using the latest technology to assist all roles within the company to be more efficient. This allows for balance between work and home life. Work - life balance. My experience is that leaders are taught to recognize each employees threshold. The goal is to push each employee to continue to grow while maintaining a personal life.

Cons

Every company has faults, Brandt is no different. What can be said is that the leadership listens to the recommendations of each employee to make improvements.

Our intentional approach to create an honest, fair, safe, and respectful work environment promotes growth and collaboration and encourages professional achievement. This helps us build talent by design and reach our commitment of building better careers, relationships, and support resources for all of our employees.

At Brandt, a Southland Industries company, we put people first, meaning we ensure all our employees, customers, subcontractors, and vendors feel valued, heard, and included, at every seat at the table and each and every day.

We believe that an employee is more than someone who gets the job done, therefore, we respect life outside of the workplace. By promoting flexibility and a healthy work/life balance, our employees are able to remain passionate about what they do.

We focus on causes that resonate with our people, supporting a variety of organizations across the country, and holding annual philanthropic events to better our communities and the lives of others.

About Brandt

With offices in all of the major Texas cities and over $550 million in annual revenues, Brandt has established itself as the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor in the state. With in-house capabilities that start with build/design, construction and commissioning and end up in service, Brandt works every day to provide the solutions and service to meet our clients' ever-changing needs.

The Brandt Legacy

About Us When Sonny Brandt started a Dallas-based air conditioning company in 1952, he saw the opportunity created by a growing population and hot Texas summers. His strategic expansions over the years grew a small local business into a thriving leader in the construction, design, and service industries.

More than six decades later, Brandt is bigger and better than ever. From our days as Brandt Engineering, Brandt Mechanical, and Brandt Service in the 70s and 80s, the firm has grown to a suite of companies, offering full-service solutions as a single provider to large and complex construction and asset management projects.

Brandt added electrical division in the early 2000s. The Brandt Companies were created under the leadership of Barry Moore and Mark Zilbermann in an ever-expanding quest to provide our clients with on-time, in-budget construction service, complete commissioning assistance, and long-term facilities maintenance. We expanded into HVAC service and full-service MEP operations. In the 2010s, Brandt established the industrial division focusing directly on the unique needs of industrial clients.  Expanding on the growing industrial market, Brandt acquired Magnum Engineering and Controls in 2019.

In 2022, Brandt was acquired by Southland Industries. This acquisition aligned with Brandt’s goal to become a truly national company that can better serve our customers, increase our industry influence towards more collaborative delivery approaches, and create additional opportunities for our employees.

Core Values

Our Core Values

The Brandt Companies’ core values are the foundation on which we have built our business. They guide how we conduct ourselves daily and keep us on course in an ever-changing world. They underlie our work, our interactions and our strategic decisions

To respond to ever changing conditions, businesses must be able to adapt quickly and easily. Using leading-edge technologies, we proactively manage our work to help us identify problems early and fix them fast. We can’t always predict what will happen, but we are always ready for the challenges that come our way.

INTEGRITY
Our relationships with customers, vendors and employees are based on respect and honesty. It is our unwavering policy to do what we say we will do, when we say we will do it. From design to construction to service, integrity is what we demand of ourselves and our team members.
