As representatives in the real estate industry, we believe we have an important role to play to move diversity, equity, and inclusion forward.

Chairman and CEO J. Lennox Scott is continuing conversations around the topic of diversity with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Washington REALTORS, various multiple listing services (MLS), and real estate industry influencers. We are constantly advocating for bills supporting diversity with the Washington State Legislature as well as other states we serve. Lennox has written many articles including Beyond words: How we act on our commitment to diversity and has spoken about diversity on various platforms including a LeadingRE podcast episode titled Leading the diversity charge for real estate with Lennox Scott.

Through a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), John L. Scott has opened up a free resource desk called Driving Change to help guide homeowners through the process of removing racial covenants from their property titles.

John L. Scott believes that diversity education should be mandatory for all REALTORS to support Fair Housing. As part of our efforts to educate John L. Scott brokers, we have requested that all agents view and participate in National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) education resources. We also have a dedicated DEI committee who meets regularly.
