Lowe’s has funded community improvement projects since 1957. But answering the call to serve means more than writing checks. It means lending a helping hand in times of need. We do that with the help of Lowe’s Heroes volunteers.
Each year, Lowe’s associates provide thousands of hours of support to local communities as part of the Lowe’s Heroes volunteer program. While projects vary by location, Lowe’s Heroes share a common goal – to make their communities better places to live.
Every Lowe’s store in the U.S. has completed at least one Lowe’s Heroes project for the past three years. From part-time associates to vice presidents, Lowe’s Heroes rolled up their sleeves to complete community improvement projects that included:
Updating six homes that support three nonprofits, providing safe places for children and women just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
Building housing for veterans at Camp Hope in Houston, Texas. Its mission is to combat the post-traumatic stress experienced by veterans of the United States military and give back to those who have sacrificed so much.
Making improvements to Boys & Girls Clubs around the country through Lowe’s Renovation Across the Nation program.
Partnering with Rebuilding Together to support critical home repairs in communities across the country.
Additionally, Lowe’s Heroes help communities in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Whether it’s distributing hot meals and buckets of clean up supplies in a coastal community impacted by a hurricane, or helping clear debris following a tornado, Lowe’s Heroes are there to support their neighbors when they’re needed the most.
We're committed to taking care of our associates and their families by providing them with the right benefits to support their health. That's why we offer our full- and part-time associates with a competitive benefits package. Included are a wide range of no-cost benefits such as the Family Assistance Program and the Clickotine smoking cessation program.
