Cons

A lot of turnover in leadership over the last few years created multiple strategy changes and not enough progress. Our new CEO is a fit - finally. Very excited about the direction we are going.

Our Purpose

DRIVE REVENUE, CHANGE LIVES

Imagine if you were defined by the worst mistake you made for the rest of your life – denied opportunity, growth, and personal and professional success at every turn.

This is how it is today for the more than 700,000 women and men released from prison each year. They, like all of us, made a mistake. Only their lapse in judgment came with a different consequence and an enduring stigma that is a barrier to social forgiveness and self-improvement.

We invited several of these women and graduates to share their journeys of transformation and how they are moving from stigma to strength as part of The Televerde Virtual Roundtable. You can access it here.

The goal of this digital experience is to show the world Televerde's operations so people can hear directly from the incarcerated women who work with us. These interviews are personal, candid, and raw and speak to the factors that influence decision-making. Each woman takes responsibility for their choices and shares inspiring narratives of transformation, hope, and second chances. 

You see. at Televerde, we believe in second chances. We help disempowered people find their voice and reach their human potential.

Our business model provides incarcerated women inside four U.S. prison facilities with a second chance through on-the-job training. The women are hired, compensated, skilled in the art of sales and marketing, and certified in technologies such as Marketo, Salesforce, Eloqua, and many more. This level of knowledge and job experience increases their marketability and provides a clear advantage over others in the hiring process as they are released. It is effective too. Of the more than 3,500 women who have graduated from our program, the reconviction rate is just 5.4 percent. This is 91 lower percent than the national average for women leaving prison.
