User Experience Designer - 2 month Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a talented and innovative User Experience Designer with expertise in creating beautiful, functional, and accessible designs for websites and digital products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma and have hands-on experience with accessibility design principles and guidelines. They will be responsible for crafting visually stunning website layouts, wireframes, and user journeys while ensuring a seamless user experience. You will collaborate closely with our development and production teams to bring ideas to life.

This role will be required for a 2-month period.

Role

GENERAL:

  • Deliver UX design solutions that are creative, accurate, functional, and accessible while meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
  • Develop an understanding of integrated marketing communications, production processes, and digital best practices.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Support new business pitches with UX designs and creative ideas.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging UX trends, tools, and methodologies.

DESIGN & USER EXPERIENCE:

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys that align with project goals and user needs.
  • Design visually appealing and responsive website layouts using Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Incorporate accessibility best practices into all designs to ensure inclusivity.
  • Conduct user research and apply findings to refine designs and improve usability.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

ACCESSIBILITY & STANDARDS:

  • Ensure all designs comply with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other accessibility standards.
  • Test designs for accessibility and usability, identifying areas for improvement.

COLLABORATION & CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING

  • Work with the Creative Technology Director and wider team to develop innovative design solutions.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for pitches and campaigns.
  • Interpret feedback and iterate on designs to meet client and user expectations
