Leveraging knowledge and expertise, the company will secure suitable sites for data centers and be focusing on developing the necessary infrastructure to successfully develop the data centers for the potential customers. Our focus is on attracting clients who will operate these data centers, ensuring their needs are met through our high-value, innovative solutions.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President, Data Center will be responsible for overseeing all phases of data center development, from securing and managing the development assets to ensuring successful project execution and client acquisition. This role will lead the entire data center development business, including the evaluation, engineering, and realization of projects, while managing B2B sales and relationships with potential clients. The VP will collaborate with local teams, lead all project stakeholders, and ensure alignment across various departments. This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with companies seeking to build data centers. Act as the primary point of contact, understanding their needs and presenting tailored renewable energy solutions.
  • Project Management: Oversee the preparation of land and provisioning of utilities (solar energy, water, fiber, etc.) to ensure readiness for data center construction. Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to attract and secure clients for data center projects. Drive revenue growth through effective sales techniques and strategic market positioning. Lead other aspects of data center projects as a whole.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform business development strategies and enhance the company’s market position.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including utilities, local communities, financial investors, and other partners to facilitate project development and execution.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the Data Center sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and closing high-value deals.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple types of team including development, engineering or project management.
  • Extensive experience in managing the installation processes within a data center environment.
  • Strong understanding of the data center market, including industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and stakeholders.


$290,000 - $350,000 a year
