Job DescriptionOur client, a leader in the Financial Services industry, is looking for a contract Junior. Designers to join their team to support on a variety of exciting, big-brand work and build their portfolio focused on email design in Figma. Role can be 100% remote (CST/EST hours), ongoing duration.This person should experience working with a email design (Figma), as well as have experience working on other digital elements, display banners, social, and some print.OverviewWe are seeking a Junior Designer who has a passion for their craft, the desire to build their portfolio an continue honing their abilities surrounding email design in figma. This is a fantastic opportunity for young, driven designers!The ideal candidate has design skills in all things digital, such as interactive banners, social media, email campaigns, presentations, consumer journeys, landing pages including still and motion-based executions. The Designer solves problems in collaboration with sr. designers, creative directors, associate creative directors, creative strategists, copywriters, project managers, account team and more. Responsible for being hands on designing for internal initiatives, as well as national advertising and marketing campaigns across the enterprise that focus on internal and external B2B and B2C campaigns.Key Responsibilities• Responsible for being hands on to concept and execute from start to finish on a wide range of creative projects including but not limited to: retail email campaigns, social media, banner ads, environmental design, presentations and landing pages• Collaborate with creative directors, associate creative directors, graphic designers, proofreaders, animators, project managers, content strategists, account and front-end developers and/or additional outside vendors as required as they relate to a project• Follow a creative brief and work with account managers and project managers to ensure assignment is clearly outlined and estimated• Understand strategic marketing initiatives and campaign strategies• Question client/marketing strategy when it doesn’t align with market research, follow the creative brief, or meet the needs of the consumer• Conduct and participate in creative reviews• Present work to peers, managers, clients, and executive leadership• Follow budgets, timelines, and internal processes for each project• Work expeditiously on a high volume of projects with constantly changing deadlines• Detail oriented, make sure all objectives are being met and that work is error-free• Offer new ideas for creative processes and collaboration• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts OR in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 8 years of work experience in visual design and management experience• 1-3 years of professional advertising agency experience and/or work within an in-house creative teamDesired Characteristics• Detail oriented creative problem solver and multitasker• Team player and collaborator• Flexible, fast thinker—especially during critical or stressful times• Proactive taking initiative and is a self-starter• Ability to work independently• Innovative and out-of-the-box conceptual thinking• Expert-level understanding of email design practices, including emerging trends and development• Excellent presentation skills• Outstanding communication and great people skills• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Workfront)• Proficient in programs such as Figma and Sketch• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)If you are interested in and qualified for this role, please forward your resume and portfolio today!
